Truth in Pictures

So we use photos like eye witness accounts of what happened in a situation. As if the instant the picture is taken captures the truth of the whole situation. But photos can't tell us the details that we need to know to truly identify the truth. The example Michael used in class was an ATM camera taking a photo of a woman taking out money. The photo then can be used t say that the woman banked at that bank. However, we don't truly know that the woman banks at that bank or whether she needed cash fast and decided to go to the nearest bank machine.
